Iwuanyanwu would have turned 82 on September 4 this year.

Last year, when he turned 81, his New Owerri palatial home was abuzz with activities as he marked his birthday.

Despite wishing for a very sober and reflective birthday due to the mood of the country and not extending invitations, many dignitaries from diverse backgrounds gathered to show love and solidarity to the prominent Igbo leader.

Widely called by his chieftaincy title of Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo, he became President General of the apex Igbo sociocultural organisation, April 20, 2023, after the demise in the occupant, Prof. George Obiozor.
