Nigerian sprints star, Blessing Okagbare, clinched the gold medal in the Women’s 200m race at Prefontaine Classic on Sunday.
At the Standford, United States of America athletics meet, the sprint sensation clocked 22.05secs to defeat Olympic 100m and 200m champion, Elaine Thompson, and double European champion, Dina Asher-Smith.
With her 22.05secs sprint in the women’s 200m, Okagbare recorded the second fastest time in the world after Thompson, who earlier ran 22.00s at the Jamaican Senior Championships.
In the Sunday Standford global athletics meet, Thompson ran 22.21m while Asher-Smith returned 22.42m.
