Ola Aina Set For A Premier League Return

  • Super Eagles star, Ola Aina set for a return to the English Premier League following his stint at Torino.

  • Aina’s services are likely to be secured by Fulham, with the London club emerging as frontrunner for his signature.

  • The former Chelsea player once did a stint on loan at Fulham prior to his move to the Italian Serie A.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Fulham has emerged as the frontrunner to secure the services of Super Eagles defender Ola Aina.

The 26-year-old is set to become a free agent in the summer after failing to extend his contract with Serie A club Torino. According to reports from SportsWitness, Fulham is the likely destination for the versatile defender.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Aina spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Fulham and played a crucial role in their bid to avoid relegation. The Nigerian international made 30 appearances for the Cottagers, scoring one goal and providing two assists. Despite his impressive performances, Fulham could not avoid relegation and Aina returned to Torino at the end of the season.

With his contract set to expire, Aina has been linked with several Premier League clubs, including Leeds United and West Ham United. However, Fulham appears to be the favourites to sign the defender, who is believed to be keen on a return to the London club.

Aina began his career at Chelsea and made six first-team appearances for the Blues before joining Hull City on loan in 2017. He then signed a permanent deal with Torino in 2019 and has made 60 appearances for the Italian club.

Aina is a versatile defender who can play in multiple positions, including right-back, left-back, and centre-back. He is known for his pace, strength, and ability to contribute to the attack. His experience in the Premier League could prove to be invaluable for Fulham, who will be aiming to make an immediate return to the top-flight next season.

Fulham has already begun their preparations for next season, however they have been in fine form this season under Marco Silva as their manager.
