Eko Hot Blog reports that Olatubosun and Oluwakemi felt the love and joy of friends and families as they went through the processes of a traditional wedding and a holy matrimony.
The traditional wedding came first on December 8, 2022, at the Elizabeth Hall, Manbilah Hotel, Sangotedo, Lagos.
The event, which showcased the rich culture of a Yoruba wedding, witnessed the familiar sounds of the bàtá drums and the voice of the Alaga, who officiated the ceremony.
The traditional wedding ceremony kicked off with the Alaga acknowledging the presence of the groom’s and bride’s parents, as well as royal fathers, chiefs, family members, and guests.
Thereafter, the bride’s sister performed the tradition of reading a letter welcoming the guests to the bride’s home.
The letter reading preceded the entrance of the groom, the bride, and their friends into the hall, after which the parents of the groom and bride blessed the couple.
The union was sealed after the couple wore their engagement rings, as the bride picked up a bible which was used to bless husband and wife.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja, blessed the couple and wished them a happy married life as they begun a new and happy phase of life.
Meanwhile, Olatubosun and Oluwakemi completed their marriage rites on December 10, 2022, as they were joined in holy matrimony at the Global Harvest Church in Maryland, Lagos.
Pastor Victor Adeyemi, who officiated the joining of the couple, led them through the exchange of vows and wedding rings.
He subsequently pronounced Olatubosun and Oluwakemi as husband and wife.
In a short sermon, the cleric encouraged the new couple to always be there for each other, stressing that effective communication is crucial to the sustenance of marriage.
The reception of guests at Yard 158, Oregun road, Ikeja, Lagos followed the church service, which ended with the couple, their families, and officiating ministers signing the marriage certificate.
The event witnessed the families, friends, and well-wishers of the couple joining husband and wife to dance with joy and happiness.
The Chairman of the occasion, His Royal majesty, Oba Olusegun Ogunye, congratulated Olatubosun and Oluwakemi.
He also advised the couple to love each other wholeheartedly and not allow any third party in their marriage.
In an interview with Eko Hot Blog, Otunba T.J. Abass, a friend to the father of the bride, added his voice to those congratulating the couple.
According to the media mogul, good marriages are not always perfect, but perseverance, trust, and prayers help them to survive.
He, therefore, advised Olatubosun and Oluwakemi to always persevere and trust each other to overcome marital challenges.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Stephen Adekoya and Professor Yinka Ogunnena Dipeolu, were some of the dignitaries who graced the reception.
