Peter Olayinka was reported to be leaving the Serbian champions after one season due to family reasons.
In the recently concluded 2023/24 season, he won both the Serbian Cup and the league title with Red Star Belgrade.
The 28-year-old striker joined Red Star at the beginning of the season, following a successful four-year stint at Slavia Prague.
During his time there, he scored 50 goals, provided 26 assists in 182 appearances, and won seven titles.
However, the player is looking forward to another transfer this summer, but it must be for the right amount, the source told our correspondent.
“For now, we will keep observing. If better offers come, he will have to,” the source who preferred to be anonymous told reporters.
He contributed 11 goals and four assists as Red Star Belgrade secured the league and cup, completing the domestic double.
He also participated in their UEFA Champions League campaign, although the team was knocked out at the group stage.
Olayinka’s contributions were significant, but he was in and out of the starting lineup on several occasions.
The striker recently reflected on how he overcame what he described as a difficult start to ultimately win two titles with Red Star Belgrade.

“Coming to Serbia was a major decision I had to make in my career.
