Oloja-elect Of Lagos Announces Kosoko Family’s Plans For Next Kayokayo Festival

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Oloja-elect of Lagos, Abiola Kosoko, has shared his visionary plans for the future of the Epe Kayokayo festival celebration.

Kosoko announced his intention for the Kosoko family to play a central role in next year’s edition.

He proposed that the Kosoko family host a special evening featuring Etufu lighting, a vibrant carnival procession, and a presentation on the festival’s core meaning: “to eat and be fully satisfied.”

Kosoko believes this initiative will not only enrich the festival but also spotlight the Kosoko family’s cultural heritage.

The royal also advocated for government intervention to elevate the Kayokayo festival into a major tourist attraction.

He is confident that with proper support, the festival could become a global draw, boosting cultural tourism and the local economy.
