Olori Funmilayo Ogunlaja Celebrates 50th Birthday In Style

• Gifted a house and a car as present

Astute Civil Servant and the Senior Olori of the Paramount Ruler of Odo-Noforija kingdom, Olori Monisola Funmilayo Ogunlaja (JP) on Monday celebrated her 5th decade on the surface of the earth.

The modest and low-key celebration, which took place at the striking edifice presented to the celebrant by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Babatunde Ogunlaja (JP), the Aladeshonyin and Paramount Ruler of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, Epe Division, Lagos State, was graced by Royal Families, a few friends, family members and well-wishers

Royal Fathers and their enchanting Oloris some of which include HRM Oba Asumo Aderibigbe, Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu Kingdom, Oba Nelson Obayomi Ogunlari, the Olowu of Owu Ikosi Kingdom, Oba Kolawole Aliru, Alade Uraka of Poka Kingdom, Oba Buhari Balogun, the Onirokun of Irokun Kingdom, Oba Mufutau Ogunnukan, the Adegbajo of Odogbawojo and other notable Royals attended the occasion.

Other guests include Former Lagos Police Commissioner, Otunba Damilola Adegbuyi, Hon Omolaja Adelaja, Former Eredo LCDA Chairman, Mrs Stella Dolapo Odufisan, Eredo APC Leader, Prince Adebola Gbadebo, MD IDREZAT Suites and a host of very important personalities.

 

Speaking at the event, the celebrant, whose career path in the past decade has earned her a top position with the Nigerian Customs Service, Olori couldn’t hide her fervour birthday present of a house, almost in tears of joy, she stated that she had a lot to thank God for regarding her roles in managing the home front together with her occupation.

” I give God the glory, today is my 50th birthday and also my lovable husband, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja JP presented me with a house.

In fact, it is only God that can see what I feel because I’m so excited to the extent that I was crying while dancing. It is not that easy coping with work and palace duties but to God be the glory, He takes care of the palace and my beautiful Olori”, she averred.

Bearing in mind the status of her husband, Olori Funmilayo out of love and respect admonished Kabiesi to keep exercise patience as God would certainly take control of their affairs.

 

While the committee of friends of Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja JP who graciously testified to the impeccable and virtuous qualities of Olori Funmilayo presented her with a top-quality Hisense Freezer, HRM Oba Asumo Aderibigbe had the honour of doing the toast of cutting the birthday anniversary cake.

Earlier, Ekohotblog reported that the first Royal Family of Odo-Noforija Kingdom were hosted to a soul-lifting thanksgiving service with dance and songs, praising God under the religious leadership of Pobo District Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman, Prophet Okunsanya Oluwatobi.

 

The Clergymen in their Sermon from the Holy Bible of Mark chapter 6, verses 21-28, admonished the Royal family to be careful while rejoicing, taking cognizance of King Herod’s predicament.
