Olu Epe, of Epe Kingdom, HRM Oba, Shefiu Olatunji Adewale in his Epe palace, Lagos state.

The Olu Epe, of Epe Kingdom, HRM Oba, Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, has disclosed that Kayo Kayo festival can bring about national progress in Nigeria.

Oba Adewale on Friday, September 21, made this known in his Epe palace, Lagos state during the opening ceremony of the festival.

The royal father while giving lectures on the festival urged both the federal and the state governments to pay more attention to the cultural event.

Olu Epe, of Epe Kingdom, stated that he is interested in making the town a tourism centre.

When asked about measures put in place to ensure that the next generations embrace the Kayo Kayo festival, he said the youths are also fully involved in event.

According to him, there are various rooms given them to learn and participate in the festival.

He said: “Each day fiesta is occupied with an activities – beginning from the 20th, and these include Children activities, Youth Rally, Carnival Procession, Commemoration of Royal day as well as Musical performance by top rated hip -hop artists.”
