By Babatunde Kaka

Idris Olukoya, Convener of Concerned Nation-builders Initiative, Epe Division has called for a paradigm shift among Nigerians, stressing the need to alter negative mentalities and develop positive mental attitudes towards the growth and development of the nation.

As gathered by Eko Hot Blog, Olukoya was speaking at the 2020 edition of the Epe Division Community Awards (EDCAA 2020), which he described as geared towards awakening the spirit of Nationalism in the Nigerian citizenry.

“The community awards were set up with a mission to change the mindset of Nigerians and awaken in us the spirit of nationalism and hard work by developing positive attitude through hard work which is more fulfilling and rewarding. We have also continued to send the message of hope to future generations on various platforms including publications on newspapers, radio and television”, he said.

Speaking further, Olukoya hailed the nomination process which consequently produced the nominees for the different categories of awards, describing it as laborious and ultimately meritorious.
