Speaking at a public lecture organized by the Treasure Newspaper, themed “Homegrown Economy: A Roadmap for Economic Sustainability – Examining the Prospects under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration,” Dr. Mayegun stressed the importance of imposing strict penalties to discourage corrupt behavior.

He referenced China’s stringent anti-corruption measures, including the death penalty for embezzlement, as a potential example to follow.
