Omo-Agege Kneels Before Buhari At Aso Rock
A photo showing the senator representing Delta central, Ovie Omo-Agege on Tuesday, kneeling down to greet President Muhammadu Buhari after his victory as deputy senate president has gone viral on social media
Omo-Agege had defeated Ike Ekweremadu, the deputy Senate President to emerge as the ninth Deputy President of the Senate.
In Tuesday’s election the Delta born lawmaker had 68 votes while Ekweremadu, representing Enugu East had 37 votes.
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had endorsed Omo-Agege as Lawan’s deputy.
Omo-Agege, who is not new to controversies, made news in April 2018 , when the mace was stolen by suspected hoodlums from the house of assembly during plenary.
