Eko Hot Blog reports that the Omola of Odomola, HRM Oba Adeshina Sulaimon Adebowale, has conferred the chieftaincy title of Oloritun on deserving individuals within the community.
The chieftaincy conferment ceremony took place at the palace of the Omola on Sunday, 28th April, 2024.
Olorituns are the head of each quarter in the community. They oversee and represent the king in each of their quarters.
Those quarters include Digboloye, Foriku & Oke Sege, Itunwolo, Omola Road, and Arekoogun.
In an interview with Eko Hot Blog, the Omola of Odomola advised the newly installed Olorituns to be honest, and be of good example to the members of their community.
“My advice to the chiefs as the representative of each quarter is for them to be honest, because I cannot see it all, and that is why they have been appointed to each quarter,” he said.
“They should be trustworthy and be of good example and they should be good role models for the neighbourhood.”
The newly installed Oloritun of Digboloye, Odomola Kingdom, Chief Akeem Olowu, expressed delight and prayed for greater wisdom for the Omola of Odomola.
