Ekohotblog reports that Otunba Sikiru Ademola Alebiosu, a distinguished businessman and politician, was officially installed as the Otunba Bobawoga of Odomola by His Royal Majesty, Oba Sulimon Adeshina Adebowale, the Omola of Odomola, on the 30th of November at the Odomola palace.
The ceremony, marked by grandeur and tradition, brought together monarchs, political leaders, and community members to honor Otunba Alebiosu for his invaluable contributions to the development of the Odomola kingdom.
In his address, HRM Oba Sulimon Adeshina Adebowale spoke fondly of Otunba Alebiosu, calling him a childhood friend and a devoted supporter of the community.
“This title is a recognition of his great contributions to our community. I encourage him to continue his good work and help take Odomola to greater heights,” the monarch said.
Traditional leaders praised Otunba Alebiosu for his dedication, noting that he was the only individual honored with a chieftaincy title on that day, underscoring the significance of his service to the kingdom.
Dr. Sunday Solarin, the Ogun State PDP Secretary, also praised Otunba Alebiosu’s efforts.
“He has always been committed to making a difference. I am confident that with this title, he will do even more to support the Odomola community,” he said.
In his acceptance speech, Otunba Alebiosu expressed deep gratitude to the people of Odomola, as well as his family and friends, for their trust and support.
“This title is not just an honor but also a responsibility. I promise to continue working for the growth and progress of Odomola,” he affirmed.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of a chieftaincy crown, staff, and certificate to Otunba Alebiosu, symbolizing his new title and the duties it entails.
The event culminated in a special prayer session, where elders and religious leaders offered prayers for his success and prosperity.
“We pray that your leadership brings unity, prosperity, and growth to Odomola,” one elder prayed, wishing him well as he assumes his new role.
