Ondo Assembly Serves Deputy Gov Impeachment Notice, As Ajayi’ Takes Matter To Court

Notice of impeachment has been served to the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

The notice was signed by 14 members of House of Assembly out of the 26 members on Tuesday, while nine members voted against the decision.

Ekohotblog had earlier reported that 9 members of the House has disassociated themselves from the impeachment move.

In a related development, Ajayi, has filed a suit at the Federal High Court, Abuja to stop the impeachment notice by the state House of Assembly.

According to the suit filed by his counsel Mr I. Olatoke, SAN, the defendants include the House of Assembly, the Inspector General of Police, the State Commissioner of Police, Department of State Services and the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr David Oleyeloogun.
