Ondo Election Results Will Be Like Edo’s – Akpabio
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will secure victory in the upcoming Ondo governorship election, just as it did in the recently concluded Edo governorship election.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Ondo governorship election is scheduled for November.
Speaking on Sunday evening in Benin, after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Monday Okpebholo as the winner of the Edo election, Akpabio called the victory a significant moment in Edo’s political landscape.
“This marks a turning point in the politics of Edo State. I see today as a day of liberation. The will of God has been done in Edo, and it stands for progress, happiness, joy, and prosperity for the people,” Akpabio remarked.

The former Akwa Ibom State governor also noted that Edo voters, by choosing the APC candidate, demonstrated their trust in President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
He urged Nigerians to remain patient as the President continues to address the challenges inherited from previous administrations.

“The election in Edo, though tense initially, reflects the growing confidence Nigerians have in President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to turn around the nation’s fortunes despite the challenges he inherited,” Akpabio stated.
He added that the Edo election results are a clear indication of what to expect in the forthcoming Ondo governorship election, emphasizing his belief in APC’s continued success by the grace of God.
