Ondo Guber: EFCC Storms Akure To Prevent Vote Buying

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has stormed some parts of Akure, the Ondo State capital to prevent vote buying as the governorship election kick-starts across the state.

Some of the operatives were spotted at the Sacred Heart Primary School, Cathedral, Akure.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the election is expected to take place across 3,933 polling units in the 18 LGAs of Ondo state.

Prior to the election, there were reports that some political parties were planning to influence voters’choices with cash.

The election started at about 8:30 am in several polling units while some places experienced delays due to late arrival of election materials.
