The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Agboola Ajayi has appealed to the people of the state to vote out All Progressives Congress (APC) due to the inability of governor Rotimi Akeredolu to meet the yearnings of the people of the state.
Ajayi made the plea when he received defectors from PDP in Okitipupa Local Government area, led by a governorship aspirant, Banji Okunomo, former chairman of the local government, Mr Solomon Bitire
He described both the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) and APC in the state as dead parties that and will witness their internment politically during the October 10 governorship election.
Ajayi who will be flying the flag of Zenith Labour Party, ZLP at the forthcoming poll said both parties will be defeated at the polls.
The comments are coming in the wake of his estrangement with the APC and PDP.
According to Ajayi who dumped the PDP for ZLP after a month of defecting from APC, said the ruling party has failed the people of the state with what he described as the lacklustre performance of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu while according to him, PDP has no structure to win the election in the state.
Ajayi added that the PDP has breached the zoning arrangement in the state and voters would be punished for it.
Ajayi further stated that the performance of Akeredolu in office in the last three and half years has fallen short of people’s expectations as the governor has personalised the government..
Ajayi said “PDP and APC are dead in Ondo South. We can postpone the burial ceremony, but you cannot wake up the dead political parties.”
