Ondo PDP Guber Candidate Ajayi Embroiled In Property Fraud Allegations

• Agboola Ajayi is the PDP candidate for the upcoming governorship election in Ondo.

• The candidate is facing allegations of illegally occupying a property in Lagos.

• The accuser said it is the rightful owner of the disputed property.

Eko Hot Blog reports that Segzyadet Integrated Ltd, a company registered in Ondo State, has accused Agboola Ajayi, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming Ondo Governorship Election of illegally occupying its property.

The property is a 5-Bedroom Duplex with Boys’ Quarter situate at 14B Abimbola Okulaja close, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria.

According to Segzyadet Integrated Ltd, it purchased the said property through public bidding/auction in 2023.

However, Ajayi, who occupies the property, has refused to vacate the property, thereby inhibiting the occupation of the new owner.

Recently, the staff of Segzyadet Integrated Ltd, in the presence of Police Officers, were reportedly prevented from entering the building premises.

Speaking with reporters, Segzyadet Integrated Ltd CEO, Adetuwo Oluwasegun, stated that the Ondo PDP governorship candidate has refused to vacate the premises despite several notifications.

He said the occupant is leveraging on his connections as a politician to frustrate the company from having quiet possession and occupation of the property.

Oluwasegun called on all relevant authorities to rise up to the occasion and call Ajayi to order.

In a related development, an Ondo State Chief Magistrate Court, in October 2023, ordered the past deputy governor of Ondo State to appear before it over an allegation of fraud.

Two of Ajayi’s aides, Mr Sam Ogunnusi and Akintoye Olatunji, were arraigned by the police before the court, over a car Ajayi allegedly collected in 2018 from a vehicle dealer, known as Segun Adetuwo.
