Ondo Speaker Risks Jail Term For Flouting Court Order

The State High Court in Ondo State has summoned the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Bamidele Oleyeloogun, as well as three other members of the Assembly over what has been construed as disobedience to court order.

Eko Hot Blog gathered that the speaker and his fellow parliamentarians now risk jail term for disobedience of an order of the court. Others included besides the speaker are the Clerk of the Assembly, Parliamentary Secretary, Prince Abayomi Akinruntan, and the Deputy Majority Leader, Oladiji Olamide Adesanmi.

The Court, presided over by Justice Ademola Bola has ordered the reinstatement of four members of the Assembly who were suspended for their refusal to endorse the impeachment notice against the Deputy Governor, Hon Agboola Ajayi.
