Ondo: Suspected Cultist Gunned Down By Rival Cult Group

The presumed cult was murdered by members of a rival cult group in Akungba Akoko community, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

In what would appear to be a truly surprising development, an alleged cultist was murdered in Ondo.

The presumed cultist was shot dead by members of a rival sect, group in Akungba Akoko Community, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State, in what appeared to be an attack in retribution.

EKO HOT BLOG  gathered that the suspected cultist labelled as AY chiller, who was known for its violent reputation within the community, was surrounded by the gang and shot repeatedly on Wedneday night, December 29.

According to a source, the deceased tried to flee the scene, but the opposition prevailed, who left him in his bloodbath after confirming his death.

The source stated further that the murder could be related to the murder of Babatund Adeluka Olubasa., from Akungba Akoko community, who was gunned down by armed men in a hotel in Akure., the state capital on Boxing day.

State police spokesman Tee-Leo Ikoro confirmed recent developments, however, stated that the confrontation should not be considered an attack in retaliation for the assassination of Olubasa.

He said that the command had opened an inquiry into this incident with the assurance that the perpetrators of the assassination would be brought to justice.
