‘One-Chance’ Operation Gone Wrong As RRS Operatives Nab Three In Lagos
Eko Hot Blog reports that operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested three suspects, all members of a ‘one-chance’ gang, operating along Oshodi–Gbagada Expressway, Lagos.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday.

According to Hundeyin, the suspects had abandoned their operational vehicle, a Suzuki mini bus popularly called ‘korope’ at Gbagada area of Oshodi-Oke along Gbagada–Oshodi Expressway, on April 14, 2023 when RRS operatives accosted them while trying to drop off a victim.
“Investigation revealed that the suspects had earlier hijacked the operational vehicle at gunpoint at Ketu bus stop, Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Ojo sometime in February and the incident was reported at Ijanikin Police Divisional Headquarters,” the statement reads.
The police spokesperson in Lagos added that the suspects, Wale Ajayi ‘m’ aged 24, Abideen Saka ‘m’ aged 26 and Oliseh Sunday aka Bobwhiskey ‘m’ aged 29, who were later arrested at their hideout following “weeks of intensive investigation” have since been arraigned and remanded.
‘One chance’ is a popular term in Nigeria that describes the activities of con artists, ritualists, and armed robbers who deceive unsuspecting commuters to board their vehicles and then harm them during the journey.
