One Killed, Two Abducted As Gunmen Attack Jigawa Community

A 25-year-old man, Sabo Yusuf, was murdered on Wednesday when gunmen stormed Birnin kudu local government area of Jigawa state.

Police spokesman ASP Z.I. Aminudeen, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that Yusuf’s mother and brother were also abducted by the unknown gunmen

Ekohotblog gathered that the incident happened after gunmen stormed the house of Alh Abubakar of Kawo Quarters in Birnin kudu town.

Abubakar is the father of late Yusuf and husband to the abducted woman.

According tto Aminudeen, the incident occurred at about 0325HRS at Birnin kudu town, where unknown persons attacked and shot a man in the chest and also took away his wife and another son to an unknown destination.

Aminudeen said the victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Birnin Kudu by the police and was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

He noted that plans are underway to rescue the kidnapped victims and apprehend the culprits.

The command, however, called on members of the public to be more vigilant and report any suspicious movement to the police.
