Onibon made this charge during his address at the 5th Matriculation Ceremony for the 100 Level/Direct entry of the 2020/2021 academic session at the College multipurpose hall, Thursday.

“MOCPED-UI has a dress code. We take pride in training students in academic work. We are focused on the character development of our students. It is based on the assumption that when they graduate from here, they will contribute meaningfully to developmental discourses across the globe. Note This, MOCPED-UI does not tolerate indecent dressing, especially the exposure of parts of the body with the tendencies to affect the sensibilities of others. The security unit has been authorised to deal with such situations as the need arises. Also, members of staff have been notified to ensure strict compliance in this regard,” he stated.

Professor Onibon, who was full of praises of the Premier University in Nigeria, University of Ibadan, for standing tall amongst other institutions of higher learning as regards the production of dignified, purposeful and great heroes, used the medium to felicitate the newly appointed 13th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof Kayode Adebowale after which he prayed for guidance and wisdom for him to steer the wheel of the university.

Amongst many things, Onibon tasks the matriculants on proper registration, the judicious use of the health, Library and ICT facilities; maintenance of high discipline standards; positive use of social media and time management. He, therefore, admonished them to regularly make use of face masks as it is the requirement for admission into the College premises and lecture rooms due to the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic.
