OPay Wins Financial Inclusion Innovation Award at 2024 IFIC
OPAY received the CBN’s IFIC Award for Financial Inclusion Innovation at the 2024 International Financial Inclusion Conference, which brought together global leaders to advance financial inclusion in Africa and beyond.
OPay stated that the award highlights its compliance with regulatory standards and support for Nigeria’s financial inclusion goals, aiming for a 95 percent participation rate by 2024. Through collaboration with the CBN and other bodies, OPay has provided accessible digital financial services to millions of Nigerians.
The award selection process evaluated key factors like regulatory adherence, innovation, customer impact, and contributions to the CBN’s financial goals. OPay won the Financial Inclusion Innovation Award for its outstanding performance in providing fast, secure and innovative financial solutions.
“This recognition by the CBN highlights OPay’s dedication to providing safe, compliant, and inclusive financial solutions,” said Dauda Gotring, CEO of OPay.
The 2024 IFIC Conference provided a platform to address pressing issues in Nigeria’s financial landscape, including expanding access to financial services, enhancing digital literacy, and strengthening collaboration between regulators and private sector players like OPay.OPay reiterates its commitment to leveraging technology within the framework of regulatory compliance, saying,
