Opposition Groups Form Merger, Vow To Displace Ruling APC

Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to face a huge challenge as opposition political groups and some other stakeholders have regrouped to displace them in 2023.

The coalition which is under the aegis of the National Consultative Front (NCF) consists of eminent Nigerians.

The group has also inaugurated a merger committee to negotiate a possible merger with other existing political parties across the country. The 22 member political merger committee headed by Rt Hon Ghali Umar Na’aba, Former Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives.

One of the conveners, Prof. Pat Utomi, who spoke during the inauguration said there is a need to reclaim Nigeria and build a country that “our children will be proud of.”
