Ortom Denies Reports Of Breaking Ties With Wike.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has dismissed reports that he has ‘split’ with his close ally, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
Addressing newsmen in Makurdi, the state capital, shortly after a meeting with the Jemgbagh people of Zone B senatorial district, the Benue governor denied abandoning Wike, saying in fact, he just returned from London, United Kingdom (UK) with him.

“But, the headline that I have split with Nyesom (is incorrect); I just came back from London with Wike this morning (Tuesday),” Ortom said.
“We are friends and I still maintain my stand on what I said (his statement opposing Ayu’s removal). I have not moved away from there. I still sympathise with Wike on the injustice meted on him.
“Politics is about interest and where your interest is not protected, you have a right to protest and I think that is what is happening.
Since the emergence of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar as the candidate of the party in May, the Wike group has insisted that Ayu must resign as a condition for supporting the PDP presidential candidate.
