Oscars 2020: Joker Receives Highest Nods (See Full List)

The Oscars 2020 nominations were revealed earlier today Monday and with 11 nominations from the pack of films released in 2019, Joker sits at the top on the list of Oscars 2020 Nominations.

The academy awards ignored movies like The Tale, The Cakemaker, Ingrid Goes West, Leave No Trace among other top-rated movies to compile the list.

Among the list of movies nominated, Joker has 11 nods, followed by the Irish Man, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and 1917 with 10.

Marriage Story, Little Women, Jojo Rabbit and Parasite each had six nominations.

Although Frozen II, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and The Lion King made it to the academy awards, they were ignored for the category of Best Animation and instead Klaus, I Lost My Body, How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, Missing Link, Toy Story 4, were group for the category.

As expected Genevieve Nnaji’s movie, The Lionheart which was previously enlisted for screening was also snubbed in the best International movie act but films from Asia and Europe made the list.
