Osinaike Hails Meranda’s Election as Lagos Assembly Speaker

Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, representing Apapa Constituency I, recently made history as the first female Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Among those congratulating the new Speaker is Prince Segun Osinaike, Tutor General/ Permanent Secretary District IV(TGPS).
In a congratulatory message, Prince Osinaike commended Hon. Meranda for her groundbreaking achievements and expressed confidence in her ability to lead with distinction.
“This is a remarkable achievement not just for you but for all women who aspire to leadership roles,” Prince Osinaike said.
“Your emergence as the first female Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly is a testament to your courage, resilience, and dedication to public service.

Hon. Meranda, in her acceptance speech, promised to work with all members of the Assembly to deliver impactful governance and strengthen legislative processes in Lagos State.
“I am deeply honoured to have been entrusted with this role, and I am committed to advancing policies that promote development, unity, and progress for our people,” she stated.
Prince Osinaike further stressed the inspiration Hon. Meranda’s leadership provides for future generations.
