An Osun State High Court in Ilesa has issued an interim order restraining Governor Ademola Adeleke and Ilesa kingmakers from appointing Prince Adesuyi Haastrup or any other person as the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland.
The court order also prohibits any further steps concerning the vacant stool until a Motion on Notice, filed in the case, is resolved. The legal action was initiated under suit number HIL/117/2024 by Prince Debo Adeyemi and 10 others representing the Ofokutu Royal Family of the Bilaro Oluodo Ruling House.
