Osun Governor Visits Family of Slain Corps Member

Delegates of the Osun State government has visited the family of the corps member, Mr. Adebayo Mukaila that was killed at the late hours of Tuesday by suspected armed robbers in Osogbo.

The Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Hon. Olayemi Lawal who led the government delegation while addressing the family made it known that the governor is sad because of the incident.

His word, “Governor sent us to condole with you on the loss of your son, Mukaila. We are all saddened by the incident, and we pray that God will give you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Lawal furthered, “The death of your son is a great loss not only to your family but to the Scheme and the State at large. I want you to take heart and believe that soon the perpetrators will be brought to justice”

He also, charged security operatives to unravel the killers and bring them to justice.

The Commissioner also reassured the citizens of the government’s commitment to the security of their lives and property, saying no effort would be spared to ensure justice for the bereaved.

He admonished corps members serving in the state to always adhere to the NYSC security tips and shun things capable of endangering their lives.

Dele, who until his death, was a serving corps member posted to Olorunda North Local Council Development Area, was reportedly robbed and killed while returning home on Tuesday around 11:00 pm.

The government had earlier sent a similar delegation to commiserate with the management and staff of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) over the demise.
