EKO HOT BLOG reports that the All Progressives Congress, APC governors and President Muhammadu Buhari have been charged with attempting to rig the just completed governorship election in Osun State.

Socio-political activist Deji Adeyanju said that Buhari prevented a free and fair election in the governor’s race in Osun State.
He insisted that the president and APC governors tried to rig the election till the last minute.

In a tweet, he warned Nigerians to be on alert because APC is not planning a free and fair election in 2023.

He wrote: “Buhari did not allow free & fair election in Osun. Both he & APC Governors tried to rig the election till the last minute.

“We must commend the people of the Osun for not sleeping and protecting their votes. The APC is not planning for a free & fair in February. Opposition, wake up.”

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ademola Adeleke had defeated Governor Gboyega Oyetola after polling the highest number of votes.

However, Buhari had said the outcome of the election showed that the electorates spoke through the ballot.

Buhari said the election was an indication that democracy has come to stay.

He promised to leave a legacy of a free and fair election when he leaves office.
