Ekohotblog reports that the Akinrogun of Epe Kingdom, Otunba (Dr.) Shakirudeen Dengel Anifowoshe, will mark his 70th birthday in grand style on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Nelo’s Events Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.

As part of the celebration, he will launch his memoir titled “My Journey So Far,” documenting key moments of his life and achievements.

In addition to the book launch, Otunba Anifowoshe will be conferred with an Islamic chieftaincy title during a special turbaning ceremony, acknowledging his impactful contributions to humanity and Islam.

The ceremony will be conducted by the First Central Mosque in Shomolu.

Reflecting on the significance of his milestone, Otunba Anifowoshe, former Chairman of all Chairmen of the 57 Local Governments and LCDAs in Lagos State, shared the tradition of celebrating his birthday on October 31, no matter the day of the week.

“My 60th birthday was elaborate, featuring the weddings of my son and daughter. This platinum celebration will also be marked with significant events,” he noted.

As part of the festivities, notable dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond are expected to attend, and popular Fuji maestro, K1 De Ultimate, will perform live.

Otunba Anifowoshe attributed his life’s achievements to divine grace, referencing challenges like his wrongful accusation by the DSS and a public attack during a political rally.

These experiences, along with his successes, are chronicled in his memoir, which will be launched at 2:00 PM on the day of the celebration.

Offering advice to the younger generation, Otunba Anifowoshe said, “Be consistent in what you do, believe in God, and remain hopeful.”
