The event marked a significant milestone for the organization, highlighting its dedication to fostering growth and unity within the Okemagba communities.

In an exclusive interview with Eko Hot Blog, the President of ODA, Otunba Felix Awolaja, shared the association’s plans to extend support to the less privileged.

“Our agenda moving forward is to reach out to the less privileged members of society. We aim to pool resources to encourage intellectual growth and nurture talents. There are many talented individuals who lack the support to advance. As an association, we will work to identify and support such talents, bringing overall development to the community,” he said.

When asked about the association’s strategy for achieving these goals, Otunba. Awolaja emphasized the importance of accountability and engagement.

“We will ask questions. The problem is that nobody is asking the right questions. As an association, we intend to make ourselves heard. We will demand accountability and ensure we see tangible results from our investments as a community. For instance, we will question the government about what returns we receive weekly from our contributions,” he stated.

Mr. Awolaja concluded the interview by outlining plans to provide support for youths, regardless of their community of origin, to keep them engaged and off the streets.

“We will establish a system to engage the youth meaningfully. Regardless of where they come from, there will be mentors and programs to teach and involve them. This will keep their hands busy and help steer them away from the streets,” he added.
