Eko Hot Blog reports that Mrs. Bunmi Oguntade, the immediate past president of the Rotary Club of Gbagada, has assured the needy of a brighter future.
During an interview with Eko Hot Blog at the commissioning of a 6-room toilet facility and sickbay at Sogunle Primary School in Ikeja, she discussed the project’s origins.
“We realized that the school does not have a quality sickbay and toilet. So that prompted us to meet the management of the school, and they gave us the approval to renovate six toilets and the sickbay,” Mrs. Oguntade explained.
She encouraged the school to maintain the new facilities and reach out to the Rotary Club for further support, emphasizing the club’s ongoing commitment to assistance.
During her tenure, the Rotary Club of Gbagada received multiple awards, including the overall best club for the 16th time.
The club undertook various impactful projects, such as renovating the pediatric ward at Gbagada General Hospital, renovating a 12-room toilet at Arch Deacon Adelaja Senior High School, donating drugs, medical materials, and clothes to Ara Kingdom in Osun State, and launching a youth empowerment program.
Key Projects During Rotarian Oguntade’s Tenure:
– Paediatric Ward Renovation: Gbagada General Hospital
– 12-Room Toilet Renovation: Arch Deacon Adelaja Senior High School
– Donations:** Drugs, medical materials, and clothes to Ara Kingdom, Osun State
