Dozens of Nigerians have taken to social media to celebrate the return of the recently abducted schoolboys from Government Science College, Kankara.
Eko Hot Blog had earlier reported that shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari landed in his hometown of Daura on Friday, December 11th, 2020, unknown gunmen stormed the named high school in nearby Kankara and kidnapped hundreds of schoolboys.
The abduction of the students and been greeted by national and international outrage, while the whole nation was forced to relive the horrors of six years ago when insurgents kidnapped scores of schoolgirls from Chibok.

In the wake of the incident, the insurgent group, Boko Haram, released a statement taking credit for the attack.
However, after nearly a week of putting together a rescue operation, the Nigerian Army finally announced the successful rescue of the schoolboys.
The development has been greeted from far and near, and Nigerians, who had taken to social media to start a #BringBackOurBoys movement, have consequently created a new hashtag, #OurBoysAreBack.
