Outrage As New York Times Launches Another ‘Sneering Attack’ On Queen Elizabeth

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the New York Times has sparked fury after launching a fresh “sneering attack” on the Queen’s funeral.

It said: “The British government has not yet disclosed how much Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral on Monday will cost, saying only that it would provide details “in due course.”

“But the price tag, which will involve elaborate processions, vigils and rituals, is expected to be significant and will be covered by the state.

“Even adjusted for inflation, her funeral is expected to cost more than the last state funeral in Britain, that of Winston Churchill, in 1965, and the ceremonial funeral for Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, in 2002.”

It pointed out that the funeral’s “hefty price tag” comes amid a cost of living crisis in the UK.

However, veteran Commentator Nile Gardiner has slammed the “America’s hate-filled woke left”, describing it as “tedious, nasty and unpleasant”.

Reacting on Twitter,  a user, Dorren Wilson, said: “Your newspaper has been unfailingly full of snark, on a story that doesn’t belong to you.

“Disappointing.
“I subscribed for five years, but you’ve confirmed the wisdom of letting it go.”
Another, Robert Corbishley (@robcorb) replied to the story about the price of the funeral saying: “Less per person than the price of one copy of your ‘newspaper’.”

Meanwhile, journalist Tom Harwood wrote: “The British Government just committed north of £100b to help with the cost of living.
“The Queen’s funeral will cost a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of that.

You absolute ghouls”.
Another Twitter user, @Siamese5, added: “Show some respect to the Woman who gave her Life to Service.”

While Steve Chadwick wrote: “It’s been 70 years since the last one – I think we’ve got this.”
