In a message during the program, the senior pastor examined the life of Apostle Paul in the book of Timothy, who was trashed, sinful and headed toward destruction, but God according to him, saved and empowered him to become treasure in his kingdom.

Paul Adim advised Nigerians from all walks of life to remain resolute in prayers and dedication to the service of both God and humanity, pointing out that it is the mandate of the church to pray for divine intervention for the nation Nigeria and her citizenry to overcome her challenges.

He reiterated the commitment of the church to continue to pray and Sensitized members of the public and politicians on the need to be worthy ambassadors of the country by delivering good governance to the people.

Rev. Paul C. Adim.

“Politicians need to keep their hands clean by seeking God, and to also know that, when God is incharge and the righteous rule, then the people will be happy”,

“The church is also encouraging members and the public to get involved in politics and be part of the leadership process by getting registered, and then vote accordingly during elections”, he said.

Paul Adim explained during the one-week annual international convention that, Gods desires has been to bless mankind but demand dedication unto himself and his cause.

“I Know the thought I have toward you, they are thoughts of Peace and not evil, to bring you to an expected end”

“God which is above all things, you will be in good health, and prosper even as your soul prospereth”, explained Rev. Paul.

Guest speaker at the event, and Regional Director, Global Teen Challenge, Africa, Rev. Dr. Jacobus Nomdoe from South Africa, said the church is obliged to help in raising people from trash to treasure.

Speaking on the theme “Commissioning People for Engagement” Mr. Nomdoe stressed the need for the church to be mobilized and actively involved in the prevention, early intervention, and awareness education to curb the rising cases of societal vices that have become a global challenge.

Reading from the book of Colosia, which says, Christ in us, the hope of glory, the invited guest pointed to the fact that, the church must leave the mountains top and the confines of its four walls to the street where the youths are wasting and are endowed with vices such as drugs abuse, crime and prostitution among others to give them hope.

The youths champion noted that, if people cannot find hope, hope must locate them, and that, when hope locate people, they will find strength to rise, reason to live, and meaning to life.

“Those who find themselves in an unfortunate situation, and cannot help themselves, it is the responsibility of the church and the entire community to help them rise from trash to treasure”,

“Mother’s gave birth to sons and daughters, and not criminals, drugs users and prostitutes, so any time you see them, do not condemn, but see them as sons and daughters, change the narrative by showing them love and care”,

“When we find ourselves in a better position and situation, it does not mean that, because we are better, then we can only take care of ourselves, rather, we have a responsibility over our neighbors sons and daughters”, He said.

The Over- Comers Rendezvous, 2022 attracted participants from across the federation, and outside the country, and addresses three key issues ranging from general restoration of lives, Family and Marriages as well as retention of the revival.

What God has done via the program should remain permanent, with the understanding that, in as much as trash can be transformed to treasure, there’s also the possibility for treasure retrogressing to trash, hence the need for carefulness toward maintaining and sustaining it.
