Owner Of Popular Club, Fashion Store Abducted In Cross River

The family of Akeem Ibrahim are currently in a sad state as their son, was abducted by unknown Gunmen in the Cross River State capital, Calabar.

Akeem Ibrahim who runs Amber Karaoke Lounge, and operates a fashion house, Just Akeeem Collections located along Marian Road, Calabar was whisked by a group of fiercely armed men from his car at the late hours of Tuesday without any trace.

The younger brother to the victim said,

“Akeem left the club on Monday evening at around 8pm to go and pick something in the house, as he got close to Liberty Gospel Church at Marian, some unknown gunmen ran into him, pull him out of his car and zoom off with him in their own car.

“Since then, we haven’t heard from him nor know his whereabouts. We don’t know who these men are and what they want. My brother is not a bad person, I don’t know who will carry out this evil and wicked act”, Akeem’s brother said.

Asides Akeem, the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH Assistant Director and a businessman were also kidnapped in the metropolis.

When contacted on phone on Wednesday the Police Public Relations Officer in Cross River State, DSP Irene Ugbo, confirmed the abduction.

“We are on it. We are working on his release. I’ll give you more information, just let me get back to you”, Ugbo said.
