The statement also announced Kasali Lawal as the PMS secretary.
The state government noted that the appointments were part of the reorganisation of the PMS.
The move comes days after an eventful week that included the ouster of the former chairman, Mukaila Lamidi, popularly known as Auxillary.
Shortly after the Oyo government removed him from his position, the police moved on his residence and arrested 78 suspected hoodlums, while recovering tens of guns and ammunition during the raid.
The situation culminated in the police declaring Lamidi wanted.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, who addressed journalists at the command’s headquarters, Eleyele in Ibadan, on Friday, said the former park chairman was accused of alleged kidnapping and murder attempts.
“The general public particularly good citizens of the state are hereby notified that LAMIDI MUKAILA AKA AUXILIARY ‘M’ whose Photograph appears above is wanted by the Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State command in connection with cases of; attempted murder, causing grievous harm, arms dealing, murder, armed robbery within the state and kidnapping at Oke-ogun and Ibarapa axis of the State,” Osifeso said.
