The Oyo State House of Assembly has approved an increase in the state’s budget for 2025, raising it from ₦678 billion to ₦684 billion.
This decision was made during a plenary session held on Tuesday after the House Committee on Finance, Appropriation, and State Economic Planning presented its report.

The report was delivered by the committee chairman, Sunkanmi Babalola, who represents the Egbeda State Constituency.
The Speaker of the House, Adebo Ogundoyin, explained that the budget adjustment was necessary to address new priorities and important projects. He noted that the revised budget would help boost economic development, improve public infrastructure, and enhance the quality of life for residents of the state.
Ogundoyin emphasized that the additional funds are intended to tackle pressing needs and ensure the successful execution of key initiatives for the benefit of the people.
