The Oyo State Government has given occupants of illegal structures and shanties adjoined to UMC Demonstration School, Molete, Ibadan, a seven-day ultimatum to vacate the premises.
Dr Nureni Adeniran, the Executive Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), disclosed this in a release made available to Newsmen on Wednesday

Adeniran, who visited the school’s premises on Tuesday, urged occupants to immediately vacate the entire area within the stipulated period.
“This school belongs to the Oyo State government and it has an approved plan.
” This government would not tolerate any form of impunity because these adjoined structures were never part of the plan.

“The Oyo State Government under the leadership of Gov. Seyi Makinde is determined to ensure strict compliance with the masterplan for our schools.
“This is aimed at ensuring the development of a clean and safe environment for our pupils,” he said.
The governor also said the board would soon embark on a clean-up exercise in the area and a clampdown on any recalcitrant occupant
