Eko Hot Blog reports Governor Seyi Makinde has secured an early lead in the Oyo state governorship election.
The incumbent governor is hoping to fight off stiff opposition to win his reelection bid and the early results suggest a landslide victory for him.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently ahead of the pack after tallying results from 18 local government areas (LGAs) declared thus far.
There are 33 LGAs in the state. Hence, results in 15 more LGAs are expected to be collated.
