EKO HOT BLOG reports that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has cast his vote in today’s local government election.
Makinde voted at Polling Unit 1, Ward 11 in Ibadan North East Local Government Area in Ibadan.
He arrived at 10:17 am and voted five minutes later.
The election conducted by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, OYSIEC, is being held across the 33 local government areas.
Meanwhile Eyitayo Jegede, a former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, has commented on the party’s governorship primary held on Friday.
In his reaction to Agboola Ajayi’s victory in the primary, Jegede expressed confidence that the party would win the November governorship election and restore the state to a path of growth and development.
