Oyo Police confirms killing of ex-Iyalode’s daughter in Ibadan, says the body of the deceased has been deposited at the State Morgue

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Oyo State Police command has confirmed the killing of Alhaja Fatimah Awolesu, the only surviving daughter of the immediate past Iyalode of Ibadan land, Alhaja Aminat Abiodun.
This online media platform recalls that Alhaja Fatimah Awolesu was reportedly killed by some unknown gunmen at the Bashorun area of Ibadan where she resided.

Reacting to the incident, the Police command confirmed that she was attacked and killed by unknown assailants, as reported by a family associate to the Police on Wednesday.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, the body of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue.
He said, “Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was attacked at her Bashorun residence by unknown assailants who also inflicted bodily wounds on her.
“Crime Scene Investigators have been immediately deployed to Crime Scene for detailed forensic processes and thorough investigations.
“Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the State Morgue.
“Updates regarding the incident and investigations would be made available in due course, please.”
