The Chairman, Global Youth Skills Acquisition and Poverty Eradication Organization, Ozegbe Emmanuel, has been awarded the Humanitarian Idol of the Year by a Non-Governmental Organisation, Husband of the Widow’s Foundation, for his contributions towards the empowerment of youths and widows nationwide.
Presenting the award, the Founder, Husband of the Widow’s Foundation, Chinatu Dickson, said over the years Mr. Emmanuel has been in the forefront in the battle to emancipate the less privileged, orphans and widows from the shackles of poverty and hardships.
“Mr. Emmanuel has been working silently in the background to transform lives not just in his immediate community, state, and country but globally, we cannot but recognize his efforts and we thus say a big thank you to him.
“He has always been a blessing to the orphans, widows, and the less privileged. He has sponsored so many empowerment programs for the less privileged.”
Also speaking, a member of the Husband of the Widow’s Foundation, Ekerete Brownson, said the award was well deserved as Mr. Emmanuel, has always been at the forefront of the fight to ensure that the less privileged in the society are fairly treated.

He, therefore, urged all well-meaning Nigerians to emulate him in their individual capacities to do everything possible to impact on people’s life, no matter how little.
“Over the years, he has dedicated his life towards impacting on the lives of others.”
In his response, Ozegbe Emmanuel said the award will energies him to do more for the less privileged in the society.
“Caring for people, especially the needy is what God wants from us. I am very happy that today, two of the people that I have mentored have not just grown in their chosen career but have also taken up the burden of caring for the needy in the society. I give glory to God.
“Whatever you do in this life, I can assure you that people are there watching. I’m happy that our work is being recognized and this award is a testimony to that.”
