EKO HOT BLOG reports that the lifeless body of a man, identified simply as O.O Bawa, was on Friday found near a military checkpoint along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
The victim, who was identified through his identity card, had bullet wounds.

The discovery of Bawa’s lifeless body caused panic along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
There are unconfirmed reports that the victim was with a friend when he was shot by security operatives for refusing to stop for a search.
Following bandits attack on the Abuja/Kaduna highway, soldiers have taken over patrol of the ever busy road. The patrol, is to forestall kidnap of travelers and other motorists plying the route.
The patrol consisting men of the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force, which started late last year is to ensure that travelers get to their destinations without fear of being kidnapped or robbed by bandits and other criminal groups making the route unbearable for travelers.
