Pandemonium As Thugs Disrupt Bauchi APC Media Parley

The Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) press center in Bauchi State was invaded on Thursday by some suspected thugs who disrupted a press conference called by a faction of the chapter All Progressive Congress(APC).

In trying to prevent the event from taking place the thugs, numbering about 50, invaded the venue at about 10:40am, throwing stones and other objects sporadically.

It was gathered that the meeting was called by a faction in the APC to disband the State Working Committee led by the embattled chairman, Alh. Ubah Nana, before the proceedings, were hijacked.

The thugs chased away all journalists and other people in the event while boasting that nobody can remove Nana from office.

It was the quick intervention of the men of the Police Command that contained the situation from skyrocketing beyond limit.

Parties involved in the rift were whisked away while the briefing was placed on hold as at this report
