EKO HOT BLOG reports that another container has reportedly fallen in Lagos.
The incident happened a day after nine passengers lost their lives in a similar occurrence in Ojuelegba.
A journalist, Eniola Akinkuotu, who shared the video of the fresh incident asked authorities to enforce the law that bars trucks from 6 am to 9 pm.
“Just this morning look at this container leaning along Sawmill Dopemu, looking for who to kill just after yesterday’s tragedy where nine people including children were crushed at Ojuelegba.
“It’s clearly caused by govt failure to enforce its law that bars trucks from 6 am to 9 pm,” Akinkuotu wrote on his verified Twitter with an accompanying clip.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASEMA) has said that the fallen 40 feet container occupied 90 per cent of the road.
“A 40ft container laden truck fell at Sawmill inward Dopemu under the bridge. It’s occupying 90 percent of the road.
“Our men are on the ground doing the needful as effort is on for recovery,” LASEMA said.
