The confession has caused widespread alarm in the community and sparked immediate responses from civil society groups and youth organizations.
In a statement released on Monday, the Zamfara State Youth Association voiced deep concern over the incident.
The association’s president, Alhaji Ibrahim Abba, called the revelation “deeply troubling,” pointing to the heightened fear it has created among residents.
“This revelation has caused serious concern, especially considering the restaurant’s proximity to a critical location like the Government House,” Abba stated.

“Many are now questioning how such criminal operations could go unnoticed for so long, right under the nose of the government.”
Calling for urgent and comprehensive action, the youth leader appealed to national security agencies to treat the matter with the seriousness it deserves.
He urged the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate potential hideouts and identify individuals who may be assisting criminal groups in the state.
Abba also advised residents to remain vigilant, especially in public places where suspected criminals might be disguising themselves as regular customers or employees.
As of the time of reporting, security agencies have not released any official statement on the incident.
