EKO HOT BLOG reports that troops of Operation Safe Haven (OSH) have reported that some unidentified gunmen have attacked and killed two persons in Ungwan Taila village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, explained in a statement issued on Sunday that the troops arrived in the village to discover that the assailants had killed two residents.

The statement stated that Gov. Nasir El-Rufai while receiving the report expressed deep regret at further loss of life from such attacks in the area.
According to the statement, “He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to their families.”
In the meantime, the statement said that the troops would continue search-and-rescue operations in the area, saying that citizens will be further updated.
